Consultant Nephrologist (DM/DrNB)

Location: Dehradun, Uttarakhand

Salary: ₹4,00,000 – ₹5,00,000 per Month (Commensurate with experience)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Consultant Nephrologist to join our medical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with various kidney ailments, managing dialysis protocols, and collaborating with cross-functional teams—including Oncology—to manage complex renal complications in critically ill patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Consultation: Provide expert outpatient and inpatient consultation for patients with acute kidney injury (AKI), chronic kidney disease (CKD), and glomerular disorders.

• Specialized Care: Manage renal complications specifically arising from Oncological treatments (chemotherapy-induced nephrotoxicity) and paraneoplastic syndromes.

• Procedures: Oversee hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and CRRT. Perform bedside procedures including renal biopsies and central venous catheter insertions.

• Transplant Coordination: (If applicable) Evaluate donors and recipients for kidney transplantation and manage post-transplant immunosuppression.

• Collaborative Care: Work closely with the Oncology and Critical Care departments to optimize patient outcomes during complex treatments.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: MBBS, MD (General Medicine), and DM/DrNB in Nephrology from a recognized medical institute.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience post-specialization (Preference given to those with experience in Onco-Nephrology).

• Licensure: Must hold a valid registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the State Medical Council.

• Competencies: * Deep understanding of electrolyte imbalances and acid-base disorders.

  • Proficiency in managing hypertensive emergencies.

  • Excellent communication skills for patient counseling and family interactions.
